Foxley Wood

Description:-   The site is on a steep chalk escarpment with the wood, on the higher elevations, being accepted as ancient woodland, the remainder on the lower elevations being secondary woodland.

 

Friends of Foxley meet on the second Sunday of each month (except November when we meet on the third Sunday) and the last Wednesday of each month (except December) to carry out work to preserve and enhance the habitat mixture.

Access:-          From Woodland Way, Northwood Ave., and Higher Drive Recreation Ground, Purley.
